When the Runway Becomes a Voice for Purpose, Inclusion and Achievement

Updated: Nov 26

The past few weeks have marked an exceptional chapter in Agnes Wade’s journey. From international fashion events to speaking engagements and industry recognition, she has continued to affirm her place as a leading voice for inclusive fashion and empowerment in the United Kingdom. Her presence did more than illuminate stages, it carried a message of resilience, authenticity and possibility.

One of the most meaningful moments took place at the World Diabetes Fashion Show and Gala Night in Wolverhampton, an event dedicated to World Diabetes Day. Agnes walked the runway as an official model and supported the organisation of the show, helping transform the evening into a powerful blend of beauty, awareness and education. Through every step on the runway, she reminded the audience that fashion can be a bridge between glamour and purpose, making health visibility a shared responsibility.

Earlier in the day, her involvement also extended to the Kick Diabetes Out of UK Football charity tournament, where sport, community and fashion came together in support of free health screenings across Wolverhampton.

Her presence underscored a simple truth: influence gains meaning when it uplifts the lives of others.

Shortly afterwards, Agnes took on a different kind of spotlight at Breaking the Ice Talk in London. As an invited speaker, she delivered a moving, personal and inspiring speech that resonated deeply with the audience. She spoke about perseverance, identity, the strength found in adversity and the power of embracing one’s own story. Her message challenged outdated standards of beauty and encouraged both women and men to take ownership of their dreams, no matter the obstacles. Her intervention stood out for its elegance, sincerity and clarity, revealing not only her experience in the fashion world but also her maturity as a mentor and leader.

Her dedication to empowering others was formally recognised days later at the Women of Heart Awards, where she received the title Best Runway Group Mentor and International Coach 2025. This honour celebrated her ability to guide, encourage and inspire emerging talent with grace and discipline. It reinforced what many already knew: Agnes changes careers, but she also changes narratives.

The season concluded with her presence as a featured model at the African Fashion Runway 2025, in Milton Keynes. The event celebrated African creativity and cultural expression, showcasing fashion not only as an art form but as a voice for stories, heritage and identity.

Agnes’s participation emphasised her belief that fashion becomes more powerful when it embraces diversity in its fullest form.

The past weeks proved once again that Agnes Wade is more than a model. She is a symbol of progress, inclusion and courage. She does not merely attend events. She elevates them. She inspires people to stand taller, walk with confidence and chase the dreams they once believed were out of reach.

Chase your Dreams.
